Sheriff Kenny Marks
Kenny enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1982, at the Menominee, Michigan recruiting station. Three years later as a Sergeant, he was selected for commissioning as a Second Lieutenant. Kenny transferred to the reserves in 1990. Activated to active duty after 9-11, Kenny served with distinction during Operation Iraqi Freedom and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. He was mobilized for both the Persian Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. Kenny is a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Marine Corps Reserve. He is a proven leader with 26 years of dedicated military service. Positive leadership and leadership by example is what Kenny has brought to the Menominee County Sheriff Department. Kenny Marks has 24 years of law enforcement experience. Kenny previously worked for the Edina Police Department in Minnesota. He served as a Patrol Officer, S.W.A.T. Officer, Tactical Sniper, D.A.R.E. Officer and was very active in drug enforcement operations. Kenny served as a Menominee County Correctional Deputy, Road Patrol Deputy and Undersheriff, during which time he gained a reputation for problem solving and maintained direct and professional communications with the Menominee County Board of Commissioners. Kenny Marks has been serving as your Sheriff since 2008. Kenny is asking you to vote for him so he can continue to serve and protect the citizens of Menominee County.
